Lifetime Achievement Award
The statement that no good work goes unnoticed has been proven in the life of Robert Ivy. He has worked hard to achieve the success that he has today. The peak of his career was when AIA named him the CEO in 2011. However, Robert is not a stranger to high recognition. He received the Crain Award in 2009; and in 2011, Robert added another award to his impressive portfolio when he received recognition by Alpha Rho Chi as a Master Architect.

Robert Ivy broke the record in the architectural field after Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters awarded him with the Noel Polk Lifetime Achievement Award according to mswritersandmusicians.com. This award had never been given to a person in the architectural field before. The award creates a different dynamic about the architectural industry as more people start to acknowledge the industry’s contributions. This award earned him praise from the President of AIA who termed Robert Ivy as ‘a great ambassador’ to the architectural industry.

His contribution to architecture goes beyond the recognition. He is a known advocate who fights for the rights of architects. He also has a biography, Fay Jones: Architect, which was released in 2001. The book is currently in its third edition. The University Of Arkansas Fay Jones School Of Architect honored him with the Dean’s Medal in 2017.

His excellent work in the architectural industry is indisputable. Unknown to many people, Robert Ivy served in the U.S Navy before his career as an architect. Today, architects in the US are guided by the chapters in the AIA handbook which enables them to operate on the global platform.
